P1 took part in an enjoyable literacy activity where they worked together to order a story into the correct sequence. By carefully looking at the pictures and listening to key words, they discussed what order the story happened in for it to make sense. This helped develop their understanding of the structure of a story.
P2 were introduced to alphabetical order through a range of hands-on activities. They began by ordering the letters of the alphabet before moving onto to sorting simple words and then their own names. The children showed great enthusiasm, enjoying the challenge and supporting each other as they practiced this important early literacy skill.
