The children played a fun phonics game using words with the ‘oa’ sound. The post-it’s were all mixed up and they had to work together to unscramble the letters to make words like coat, float, toast… Once a word was made the other children carefully wrote it on their whiteboard, blended each sound and decided if it was a real word or a silly word. The children enjoyed this and felt a great sense of achievement at all the words they had made.
