Our P1/2 children had great fun playing a phonics games called, ‘Pass the Plate.’ As the music played, the children passed around the plates with different words on them. When the music stopped, whoever was holding a plate had to sound out and blend the letters to read the word aloud. The game created lots of excitement, while also helping the children build confidence in their early reading skills while having fun!
