The girls and boys have been exploring the use of similes and metaphors to make their writing more vivid and imaginative. They have been learning how to use powerful adjectives and creative comparisons to describe things in new and exciting ways. The class enjoyed experimenting with language to write their own original similes and metaphors. To bring their work to life they drew and painted beautiful cherry blossom trees and created a matching simile or metaphor to accompany their artwork.
