Today we welcomed Yvonne Fleming, author of ‘The Weatherbies’ to our school. The children in Primary 1, 2 and 3 had the opportunity to listen to Yvonne read some of her books. The children just loved finding out about all the characters that lived in Skytown. Some of the children’s favourites were Sammy Sun, Ronny Rain and Colin Colin. They enjoyed singing some of the Weatherbies songs too.
This was the first time the children met a real life author and they were very excited to ask her lots of questions. We look forward to learning more about ‘The Weatherbies’ and using the stories to help us in our Weather topic.
