We had a fantastic celebration of World Book Day, filled with activities that encouraged a love of reading. Children began the day by writing a review of their favourite book, sharing what makes it special to them. We were delighted to have the library van visit on World Book Day, giving the children an opportunity to choose a new book. The P6/7 children paired up with P1/2 children, creating lovely moments of storytelling. Throughout the day, children also enjoyed making their own personalized bookmarks and taking part in a fun word challenge, to see how many words they could make from the title, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. To finish the celebrations, we relaxed with a showing of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, complete with treats!!!
